The Kingswood is an independent family-run hotel situated between Kinghorn and Burntisland and only four miles west of Kirkcaldy in the Kingdom of Fife. We are an ideal base to explore the unrivaled beauty of Fife, central to the rest of Scotland and surrounding areas, and only a thirty-minute train journey to the centre of Edinburgh and located most famous Fife Coastal path which link the Forth and Tay Estuaries, the Fife Coastal Path runs for over 183km though the varied landscapes of Fife. The route links some of Scotland’s most picturesque former fishing villages as well as the home of golf – St Andrews with its ancient University. Kingswood is perfect place to start exploraing the Fife’s 50 incredible golf courses located in St Andrews, East Neuk of Fife, Cupar & North Fife.

Very late in writing this review, sorry about that. Had my wedding here in April and honestly, my husband and we couldn't have asked for a better day. The staff at the Kingswood were so friendly, kind, attentive and all round amazing. Huge thanks to Dal, our wedding coordinator who went above and beyond for us to make our day truly magical. Everything from the location, food, and scenery was absolutely perfect. The team made our wedding day the day we deserve and its all thanks to their hard work and kindness. The room we had was stunning, spacious and inviting. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a log. Lovely view of the ocean and a gorgeous wee balcony for watching the sunrise. We were even lucky enough to see the flying scotman on our wedding day and caught a photo 😊 Food was spectacular and just beyond amazing, I still think about that steak pie 5 months later. It was that good🤣 You will not regret coming to the Kingswood, it is the perfect location for a cosy, intimate and romantic Wedding where you are treated like royalty. Can not wait to come back in the future Mr and Mrs McKie ❤️

I thought I would leave a review for this place as I had recently stayed here... Honestly, what a lovely hotel with a great location right next to Burntisland and very near Kirkcaldy as well. The hotel itself was slightly outdated, however I felt like that added to the charm, my partner and I (plus kids) aren't the fussy type so we didn't mind at all and it was a place to get washed, plus sleep for the night! However the room was exceptionally clean, plenty of towels, fresh sheets etc so we had everything we needed. The highlight for me was definitely how friendly and welcoming the staff were. We were greeted upon arrival with the thee most friendliest receptionist and the hotel bar/kitchen staff were all super nice. This is what makes the hotel absolutely outstanding! Overall, no issues and very happy with the stay!

Stayed here for a night while walking the Fife Coastal Path. It was booked for us by Macs Adventures. Staff are lovely but apart from that it’s an awful place. We were in a dark room at the back, despite the hotel seeming practically empty. The shower didn’t work. The whole hotel is very dated. The food was pretty bad. It was a Sunday so the ‘Carvery’ menu was on. There isn’t really a carvery- you choose a meat from the menu and get it with veg etc. As I am both coeliac and vegetarian, they very kindly offered to make me a curry- there is allegedly an I Indian chef in residence. My curry, which I was charged £20 for, was made with tinned carrots. I’m not a great cook but can make myself something a lot better. My partner’s burger looked suspiciously like a Rustlers burger. At breakfast, I chose yoghurt with fruit. Only to be told 10 minutes later that they were waiting for the yoghurt to be delivered. There is no atmosphere, I really struggle to imagine how they could host a wedding. Sorry, nice staff- but you are the only redeeming feature

This hotel is lovely, my partner and I visited on 11th June, staff are friendly and helpful, room was . cosy, we didnt have a Balcony view, but we will be back! Food was perfect and good choice. Location is close to beach, a few miniutes drive. Thank you Kingswood for a nice welcome! 😊

Just had a four night stay, there for a friend's birthday party. Dal and his staff went above and beyond, nothing was a trouble. It's a super place, would love to go back one day. Had everything we needed. They host a great event, and looked after us so well. Thank you, it was a great experience. Dal you run a fabulous hotel so very well.

Had a lovely lunch here with mum and the service was exceptional. The breaded fish was amazing and my mum loved her roast with yorkshire pudding. Highly Recommend.

We just got married here. Dal and his team went over and beyond for us. Absolutely fantastic experience! Our wedding was amazing from start to finish! Highly recommend. Food was spot on too👌🏼 Thanks again Dal! We will be back especially for the Indian buffet 🤤

My mother and I stayed for 2 nights for her 91st birthday, we had a room with a balcony and the weather was kind and we managed to sit outside.
Del, the guy that did nearly everything and always on duty was very attentive and made sure everything was always okay for us .
Have stayed here before and will definitely be back

We had our wedding here and we were so happy at how amazing it was, we came in with a budget and a short period of time to get the wedding organised and the kingswood hotel was the best destination and they made it so comfortable and easy to organise. The ceremony was incredible, the whole room was decorated beautifully to what I had asked, the food was absolutely incredible. The night before the wedding we had the bridesmaid room, it's so spacious and has everything you need including high built railings to hang the dresses.
The room that myself and my husband had was gorgeous and had a balcony and 4 poster bed with petals arranged on the bed in a heart shape.

They really do go above and beyond for your special day.

Please dont ever hesitate to come her for your wedding, you will not regret it and you certainly wont ever forget it.

I needed a quiet, comfortable room for the night and did not want to pay rip-off Edinburgh prices. That is what I got at Kingswood, with a lovely view from the balcony thrown in. The guy at reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
